“bonsai” on a roof.
I’ve been watching this particular plant for over 3 years on. Through the scorching harmattan and the fleeting drenches of the rainy seasons, it keeps surviving in spite of its difficult circumstances. Considering the extremities of the environment in which this plant is forced to grow, I never cease to wonder and admire the survival instincts of this ivy (?) specie – thriving in spite of the evidently hostile surroundings.
Under normal circumstances, this plant usually grows to a massive evergreen tree, but the limiting environment keeps it stunted as shown here. It reminds me that our environments can limit our growth potentials. So, if you can by all means escape constraining and unwholesome spaces, by all means, please do.
The other lesson also learnt here is, irrespective of what life throws at you, make the best out of it and thrive as best as you can. This is God’s will for you – thrive and flourish.
Psalms 92:12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
